This page sets out the warranties and complaints process of The Green Path · GREEN PATH HOLDINGS PTY LTD · ABN 97 689 967 673, trading as The Green Path. It applies to systems we design and install for customers in Victoria. Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
We warrant our installation workmanship for 10 years from the date of commissioning. If a fault in your system is caused by how it was installed — mounting, wiring, sealing, plumbing or commissioning — we will rectify it at no cost to you, including return site visits.
The workmanship warranty covers the installation itself. Equipment faults are covered by the manufacturer warranties below, and we will manage those claims with the manufacturer on your behalf.
The panels, batteries, inverters, chargers, heat pumps and tanks we install carry their own manufacturer warranties — commonly 25-year performance warranties on solar panels and 10-year warranties on batteries and heat pumps, but the exact terms vary by product. Your handover pack lists the warranty terms and serial numbers for every component in your system. Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not by us, and are subject to their terms.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
If you're unhappy with any part of our work or service, tell us first — most issues are resolved at this step. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 10 business days, with a written outcome.
If we can't resolve it together, you can contact Consumer Affairs Victoria (1300 558 181) for free dispute assistance, or the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal for formal resolution.
Every installation includes a documented handover: system diagrams, serial numbers, warranty terms, shutdown and restart instructions, and your compliance certificates. Keep it — it's the fastest way to action any future claim.
